WINTER FAIR

This year’s Winter Fair is on this coming Sunday, December 10th, from 2pm – 4pm. It will be lots of jolly, child-centred fun with a disco, face painting, crafts, a festive cafe and more! There will also be wonderful gifts available to purchase on the day. Please note, the event will be held indoors.

 

We are still looking for volunteers to help with the clean up, so if you have an hour to spare from 4-5 on Sunday, it would be greatly appreciated. Please email [email protected] if you can offer your services. Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday!

 

ETHOS – FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS ASSEMBLIES –

Children will be doing class performances in the hall at 08.45am on dates below. The open assembly will take place over two mornings. We are looking forward to sharing what we have been learning about.

  • Wednesday 20th December – Fiona, Jenny, Cian, Ciaran & Doireann
  • Thursday 21st December – Niamh, Aodán, Simon, Aileen, Ciaran & Doireann

Ciaran’s and Doireann’s are leading the assemblies on both mornings so you can catch them on either day.

SCHOOL CLOSURES

School closes on Friday at Dec 22nd at 12.00hrs, and re-opens on Monday January 8th 2018.

PLANETARIUM – We had the BIG BEAR PLANETARIUM with us today and yesterday. CHECK OUT THE GALERY HERE. The pictures do not do this justice – it was fantastic. There was lots of learning and fun times for the children.  Each class got different lessons, so we will definitely be rebooking this. SELF EXPRESSION DAY

We will be having our Self Expression Day on Friday. Pupils will be celebrating how we are all unique. It is part of Human Rights month. Pupils will be invited to express themselves through the way they dress. Pupils will be engaged in human rights lessons around identity and celebrating difference.

TODDLER GROUP – The next toddler group will be on in January 16th. It is finished for this year.

DESIGN A CARD – The response was great – all cards have been ordered – we were against the clock here, so unfortunately this was the last day that the design company accept the orders. Thanks to the parents association for organising this.
