Everything we do in CWETNS is based around the children, their education and their happiness and well-being. We strive to make learning fun and enjoyable, and always aim to deliver the highest standard of education to our children.
We are very proud of our whole school community and nurture an inclusive welcoming environment for every member in our community. We love performing, arts, sport, big thinking, science and always strive to have active enjoyable days every day.
We have a beautiful garden area which is an oasis in the city. Here we do planting, enjoying, learning and harvesting!

Educate Together are state run multi-denominational schools offering equality based education. The ethos is defined under the following pillars –
Equality Based – all children having equal rights of access to the school, and children of all social, cultural and religious backgrounds being equally respected.
Coeducational and committed to encouraging all children to explore their full range of abilities and opportunities.
Child centred in their approach to education.
Democratically run with active participation by parents in the daily life of the school, whilst positively affirming the professional role of teachers.
Canal Way Educate Together was founded by a group of parents in Dublin 8. The group formed in 2010, and after 3 years of campaigning, the school was recognised in January 2013.
Canal Way Educate Together opened in temporary accommodation in Harcourt Terrace, with two teachers, and thirty eight children in September 2013. The school moved to its current premises in 2014, the premises being the first building to be divested from a religious body to the state, for multi-denominational education. Following the Forum on Patronage.
Since then, Canal Way Educate Together has continued to grow and the school will be fully developed into a two stream by 2022. We currently have 368 children enrolled, 25 staff, and offer classes up to sixth class.
In the first 6 years of our school, we have succeeded in building a happy, enthusiastic school, with a fantastic whole school community.
We have achieved the following accreditations:
Active Schools Flag
Science and Maths Excellence Annual Awards
Winners of Young Philosophers Awards
