Welcome to this week’s newsletter,

ETHOS – Our core value this month is Friendship.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION – Classes will have two PE lessons per week. Children must wear correct footwear. Please see times below.

COMMUNITY – The Haven Community Centre directly opposite our school, are now enrolling for their adult courses from September to December. Courses are detailed on their website – Art and Craft, Computers, Relaxation, Flower Arranging, Cookery, Incredible Years Parenting, Let’s go Swimming. All courses begin on the 17^th of September with exception of a 4 week computer class which starts on the 12^th of September.

‘English Classes for speakers of other languages’ will be registering and assessing on the 9^th, 10^th and 11^th of September 2014 @ 10am to 1pm. These will be held in the Liberties College Dublin 8. Please contact me if you need further information on this worthwhile course.

GREEN SCHOOLS – thank you to the whole school community who are supporting the green schools initiative. This year we are applying for our first Green flag for Litter and Waste. The Green Schools committee is being held in Aodan’s class this year. The first meeting was held on Wednesday this week, the committee decided to launch an awareness campaign in the school and to do litter spot checks.

SIBLINGS– Please ensure that younger siblings have been pre enrolled. You will find an enrolment form on our website which can be submitted to the office.
