WINTER FAMILY FUNDAY Our Winter Family Fun Day will take place on this Sunday (4th Dec) from 2pm to 4pm in the school. Join us for an afternoon of family fun: Kid’s disco, games, facepainting, pop up café and sale.
SELF EXPRESSION DAY – Human Rights Month.
We all had a great time during self-expression day.
Each person chose an outfit that shared something about themselves. We all learnt more about how we are all different and found out some interesting things about each other. Some people chose to represent a hobbies, cultures, sports and interests.
Everyone enjoyed a self-expression parade where each person was celebrated for being a unique individual. After the parade there was a disco and pupils acted out a human right. At the end we reflected on how many rights we enjoy here at Canal Way ETNS.

TIMEKEEPING – Reminder that school starts at 08.30am. Please have children in their line ready to enter the school with their teacher.
BIRTHDAYS – When it is your child’s birthday – we acknowledge it in class and also at school assembly. Children are not permitted to distribute party invitations during the school day as it conflicts with our school’s ethos of inclusivity.
SCHOOL CLOSURES – School will close on December 22nd at 12noon and re-open on December 9th. Please also note that the school will be closed on January 17th 2017. This is not on your calendar from the start of the school year. This is a DES professional development day for the staff.
