TEACHING AND LEARNING: Today we have enjoyed World Book Day. We listened to Prince Cinders by Babette Cole and The Story of Ferdinand by Munro Leaf at assembly.

Children in Wilma’s class wrote a book to celebrate the day. Their book is about dinosaurs coming to school.

Aodan, Hazel and Fiona’s classes enjoyed an Aesop’s Fable about the Crow and the Fox. Children compared an old version of the story with a new recording of the story by Julia Donaldson. Children also explored ‘Where the forest meets the Sea’ by Jeannie Baker. Children visualised themselves in different parts of the story.
