ETHOS: Festival of Lights Assembly in the school next Thursday 18^th December at 08.30am. All Welcome. Reminder that we are having our annual donations at this assembly. This year it is for De Paul and on behalf of them we would be grateful for the following:

• Dry Food goods (all types).
• Toiletries: toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, comb.
• Small clothing items: socks, gloves, hats, scarves, t-shirts

The lyrics for our assembly songs will be going home next week for practice, and we expect all the guests to join in.

SCHOOL HOLIDAYS: School finishes next Friday at 11.45am for holidays. We will return on the 5^th of December.

PARENTS ASSOCIATION FUNDRAISER: Reminder – movie night for the children of Portobello ETNS on Saturday 13th December from 6-8pm at our school.  You have received an email about this yesterday. This type of event is very important in building our school community so please try and come along.

TEACHING AND LEARNING: Wilma’s class have been ‘camping it up’ this week ad have made fantastic glittery stars and snowflakes. Aodán’s class have organised our bins for green schools. We now have peddle bins for hygiene waste in each classroom and they are installing our compost bin also.  Hazel’s class have learned all about Hanukkah this week, which should feature in our Festival of Lights Assembly next week. Fiona’s class have made Spiral Snakes – see image below if you want to complete this at home.
