Welcome to this weeks newsletter,

ETHOS – Today is International Day of Peace. Tomorrow is Autumn Equinox. Core Value this month is Friendship.

Parental involvement is a huge part of our ethos. This week’s newsletter is full of opportunities to become involved.

PLAYWORKS – We are piloting Playworks on the yard. This is a game based initiative for yard time, which helps the children with social skills, dispute resolution & makes yard time great fun. We will be looking for volunteers shortly, to help us run the games at yard time. CHECK OUT THE GALLERY FOR PHOTOS.

E-PAYMENT – Reminders have been sent out. Please contact us if you have any difficulties with this. We are now a cash free school.

SKIP – You may have seen the skip outside today – If anyone has 15 minutes tomorrow morning, we have a lot of packaging & bits (in the hall) to be put in the skip. Please see me in the morning in the yard.

BASKETBALL VOLUNTEER TO HELP WITH CLASS. The Afterschools Committee are looking for a volunteer to help our parent NEASA who is kindly setting up this extra curricular activity. Preferably anyone with an interest or knowledge of basketball or sport in general. The volunteer will need to be Garda Vetted so we need to get this in motion as soon as possible. Please contact [email protected]

PARENTS ASSOCIATION: Join the committee – you know you want to!
The Annual General Meeting of the Parents Association will take place on Thursday 29th September at 8pm.  At this meeting there will be a report on the activities of the PA in 2015-2016, and the new PA committee will be elected.
All parents/ guardians of children in the school are entitled to be nominated to be on the committee, and if more people want to be on it than are needed, an election will be held. Usually we have at least one representative for each class group.  It is a great way to get to know other parents and to get involved in school life.

We look forward to seeing you on the 29th.
