Newsletter 23.08.2013
Dear Parents / Guardians
We hope you are well, and are all set for start of school year. We have had a very busy summer organising everything for the school, and we are seriously excited about Monday week. Below you will find an update for your information.
BUILDING
The building is still under renovation, and this will continue for next week. The furniture is being delivered on Friday 30th. We shall be working over the weekend setting up the school and preparing for the children
STAFFING:
We are delighted to announce that Fiona Connelly will be joining us as our second teacher. Fiona has a wide range of teaching experiences. She has completed her Master Degree in Education from St. Patricks, D.C.U. specialising in Human Rights and Citizenship. Fiona will be graduating from Trinity this November with a higher diploma in Learning Support and Special Educational Needs. She particularly enjoys teaching Science and Geography and is looking forward to starting with us in September.
We have advertised for a part-time secretary. CLICK HERE TO SEE ADVERT

WEBSITE:
I am sure you have all had a look at our website – www.portobelloetns.org I will be posting a newsletter here every week. All booklists, times & calendars can be found here.
GREENSCHOOLS
We have already made our application to ‘Greenschools’, and we look forward to having an environmentally friendly school, with our children acting as stewards for our environment.
I hope you enjoy the weekend and the final week of the summer holidays, and we look forward to welcoming you on the 2nd September at 08.30. I will be on yard from 08.20 and this will be the case for the year. As always, please don’t hesitate to contact me if there are any concerns or questions.
Best Wishes,
Dermot
