  • On arrival, make your way to the school yard where the child’s belongings will be ready for collection.
  • Should a number of parents arrive at the same time, please form a queue and observe social distancing.
  • This facility is for parents only. Children are not permitted to come to the school.
  • When you collect the belongings, please leave quickly and safely.
  • If you are not in a position to collect the books yourself, you may organise that a neighbour or relative collects them for you.
  • Please adhere to your allocated time
  • Please adhere to HSE social distancing guidelines at all times.
  • We would appreciate if only adults came to the school, if possible.

RE-OPENING IN SEPTEMBER: As you are all aware from the news, there is lots of discussion as to what school will look like in September. I am aware that the Dept. of Education & Science (DES) are currently working on guidelines for our return. We expect these in the coming weeks, and the moment we get them, you will get them also – as with all DES guidelines and circulars, they are released on their website for everybody – usually on a Friday evening. School’s do not have any additional knowledge on this, and we cannot say what school will look like, but I think it is fair to say it will be somewhat different – most likely around the children’s safety and hygiene. These are difficult times for all sectors and it is extremely difficult to plan for 11 weeks into the future. Trust when we all know the guidelines, we will be working tirelessly to make our school safe and to get those doors back open.

ALADDIN CONNECT: We use the Aladdin Schools software service for administrative purposes. We are upgrading to the Aladdin Connect portal, which will give you secure access to messages from the school and to details about your child’s attendance, school report cards etc. via secure login from your internet browser or a downloadable app. We will communicate with you though the app also. These are lots of features in this and we will be engaging with this more and more through next year.

Firstly steps will be in coming days – you will receive a letter explain all about this this and we will get you registered up asap, and we are sure you will enjoy this communication and information platform.

SPECIAL EDUCATION PAGE WEB-PAGE: We have an Special Education Needs Page on our website and this is another reminder to check it out – there are lots of useful resources there, for ALL children. Thanks Wilma and Simon for researching and publishing the page – there are great items on it and a Summary Parent Version of our Special Education Policy.

SCHOOL CALENDAR 2020/2021 – The Website has been updated and you will find this on the home page.

SCHOOL ASSEMBLY – Please see Google Classrooms for details of this week’s assembly – please send in photos to your class teacher.

CLASS ALLOCATION / BOOK-LISTS & MATERIALS FOR NEXT YEAR – We will be in touch with you soon on these items.

BOARD OF MANAGEMENT met on 26.04.2020 and you can find the Agreed Report HERE
