Wild Things in First Class

First Class have been very busy lately. We have been reading the story ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ and have been writing our own adventure stories. We created our very own wild things using clay. We painted and glossed the monsters and they are looking very scary! We learned about buoyancy and what helps things float. We collected lots of scrap materials and designed our own boats, inspired by Max’s boat in the story. We then tested the buoyancy of our boats and looked at lizard lifeboats used by the RNLI. We also created dramas using “Where the Wild Things Are” as our catalyst. This lead to some brilliant imaginative pieces of work!
