CWETNS AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES 2025-2026
Discover everything you need to know about this year’s After School Activities programme—who the clubs are for, what’s on offer, when and where they run, and why they’re a great option for your child.
Who: Open to CWETNS students from Junior Infants to 6th Class, with clubs designed for a wide range of ages and interests.
What: A varied programme including sports, music, art, STEM, mindfulness, creative clubs, seasonal specials, and more.
Activities are launched at the start of every term
When: Third Term begins April 20, 2026, with exception of Piano Club having a start date of May 15. Clubs run 2:15pm–3:15pm unless otherwise noted.
Where: All activities take place on CWETNS school grounds.
Why: To give children a safe, engaging space to learn new skills, build confidence, make friends, and enjoy their afternoons in a positive, structured environment.

We appreciate your understanding and flexibility in accommodating any necessary adjustments to the programme schedule.
Sports Club
Sports Club will cover an array of different sports such as Gaelic football, soccer, volleyball, athletics and more. Children will learn new skills and enjoy sport through exercise. Any child with a passion for sport and enjoy an active lifestyle – Sports Club is ideal for you!

Lego Club
Lego club is open to all children who love Lego. Weekly themed Lego tasks will be fun, interactive and also a great way to make new friends.

Drama Studio
The Drama Studio will provide a fun and engaging space where students can develop confidence, creativity, and self-expression through performance. Sessions will include a variety of activities such as drama games, improvisation exercises, and creating scenes inspired by images or one-line prompts. Students will also have the opportunity to explore and interpret different stories through a drama lens, encouraging imagination, collaboration, and communication skills in a supportive environment.

Sing & Shine Club
Love to sing? This Sing & Shine Club offers students a fun and supportive space to explore their voices. Each session includes vocal warmups, group singing, and opportunities for solos, along with light choreography and confidence-building activities. The program helps children grow musically while developing teamwork and self-expression.

Art Club
Art Club will cover lots of fun activities- painting, drawing, printmaking, construction, clay and craft. The children will spend an hour being creative and having fun together.

Textile Club
In Textiles Club, we will be learning cross stitching, embroidery, knitting, crochet and knitting in a relaxed, fun environment. All materials included in the price of the club.

Ukulele Club
Alto School of Music is delighted to invite young musicians to join our fun and engaging Ukulele Class and master this wonderful instrument. The class includes rhythm activities, sol-fa singing, and music games to develop children skills, with opportunities to perform at Alto Music’s biannual concerts.
Note: Each child needs to have their own ukulele. They can bring one they have from home or purchase a ukulele from Alto Music for €35.

Martial Arts (Northern Seven Star Praying Mantis) Club
This is a 450-year-old unique Kung Fu style originated from China. In this class, kids will learn the right way to hold their body. They will practice to focus, concentrate, and learn the right discipline. They will learn the basics of this style and defence techniques in the beginning. If any kid will stay the whole year it is possible to have an official exam with one of the Hungarian Grand Masters. This is only if any kid learns all the basics and comes the full year.
The club price includes free T-shirts and pants. They will have the right equipment to learn all the skills and techniques this Kung Fu style requires.

Chess Club
Any child with an interest in learning chess or improving their chess is welcome to attend. Chess rules, tactics, and play will be learned and developed. Children will be encouraged to develop their creativity, planning, and judgment via the chess board.

Dance Club
Catch Dance Academy London | Dance classes (follow the link for more information) Students will be learning various styles of dance throughout the term. They will also be working on their own creativity and creating their own choreography. This class is a fun, energetic way of improving children’s confidence, flexibility, coordination, teamwork and musicality. Our goal is to develop each student’s dance ability in an encouraging and fun environment!

Little Ducklings
This club will consist of Mixed Activities- sports, art and crafts, gross and fine motor skills activities, life skills e.g tying shoe laces/ coat zippers, yoga, gardening, baking etc.

Piano Club
Piano Club is for beginner piano players in 1st – 3rd class. Focusing on fun and creativity, children will learn the basics of piano, reading music and how to create their own music. With a lot of emphasis on improvisation, ear training and games it’s a great start to music education! Each child will be given a roll up keyboard to use during class.
