Dear Parents / Guardians – Welcome to this weeks newsletter,

ETHOS: Our core value this month is Honesty. The children are preparing for Seachtain Na Gaeilge also, and we are practicing their aon dó trí’s to some pacey reels and jigs.  

MATHS RECOURCES: We are organising our maths resources this month and are hoping to collect some equipment for the following strands.

Time: clocks

Capacity: measuring jugs or cups etc

Length: measuring tapes, rulers

Weight: weighing scales, balances,

Sorting resources: eg clothes pegs, small toys, counters, beads.

Any help is greatly appreciated by the whole school,

FUNDRAISING GROUP: Anyone who is interested in helping out at our next fundraiser they can come along this Saturday morning (1st March) to McGowans in Harolds Cross at 12pm (Same venue as table quiz) Short informal get together of parents and supporters of PETNS to plan out the next fundraiser plus get some volunteers to organise some other options for the year. If anyone is not able to attend and is interested in helping out, please contact [email protected].

SURVEY: Some of our parents are gathering information on the transport issues and childcare for when we move to our new school in Basin Street.  PLEASE COMPLETE THE SURVEY HERE.

OUT AND ABOUT: We are getting a guided tour of Stephen’s Green tomorrow by the OPW at eleven o’clock. On foot as usual.

MUSICAL INTRUMENTS: I have finally purchased our instruments. (djembe-drums, boom-whackers, casabas, tambourines, shakers, glockenspiels, chime bars, bells, agogo & guiro shakers) They are currently in transit from Germany. Thank-you again to all those who generously donated money at our recent table quiz. We look forward to showcasing our 38 membered drumming band in July.
