Welcome to This Week’s Newsletter:

NEW WEBSITE: We have just launched our new school website.

www.canalwayetns.org

We hope you enjoy it.

FOOTBALL – We have teams entering the FAI Primary School 5 aside on Monday and Tuesday, and they shall be sporting our new Canal Way Jerseys. Best of luck to our players.

HURLING – is continuing during the school day and is facilitated by Kevin’s GAA. We have just finished football with Templeogue Synge Street GAA. They have an open day every Saturday – detail on their website www.tssgfc.com/

SKIPPING – Our skipping day went really well also last week, and children were brushing up on their skipping skills.

STAY SAFE – thankyou to the parents who attended our Stay Safe talk last week. It was a great honour to have one of the writers of the programme with us, and she gave great information to us, and it was a lovely evening.

BIKES & SCOOTERS Please dismount scooters & bikes when entering the yard, and at collection time, please do not allow children to cycle around the yard.

YARD – We are using the yard space daily and the garden when we can, and hopefully more now the weather has picked up. Please note that the children can run in the yard. We did have a temporary policy of not running for safety reasons caused by different age groups knocking into one another, but this was resolved some time ago. I have spoken to all children again today about this, so please re-inforce this at home, and also note that we don’t allow charging games and we expect children to behave safely while running. All that said, we are in loco parentis and we will have trips, bumps and falls – for which we have procedures and policies all to be found on the new website.
