Muintir Day (Family Day)  – The  PAC is hosting tea/coffee for our visitors on Muintir day (16th and 17th May). If anyone could bring baked goods either of these mornings these would be gratefully received on the morning by Phyllis who is running the cafe.

ETHOS: Best Wishes to our students who will be celebrating their communion on Sunday in Donore Avenue at 12.30hrs. Griffith Barracks, Scoil Teresa, and St Catherine’s will be there also.

Our core value is Sharing this month.

ROOTS OF EMPATHY: We are planning next year’s Roots of Empathy programme. The key to the success of this program is a young infant and parent comes into their classroom once a month during the school year – the children bond to the baby and experience empathy.

WILL YOU HAVE A BABY BETWEEN 2 & 4 months next September / October? Do you have an hour per month to visit our school? Please contact us if you are interested in this.

We are just finishing our programme this year, and would like to thank Louise and Baby Juliette for visiting our school. Big thanks to Deirdre also who facilitated the visits and set up this initiative.

CLOSURES: June Bank Holiday Monday 2rd and 4th June.

WELCOME to the hens. Bígí cúramach lads! The farm was also a great success – please see gallery for photos.

STANDARDISED TESTING for 1st to 6th class next Tuesday 14th. Please ensure your child has a good night’s sleep, has eaten their breakfast and comes to school on time that day. Thank you for your support.

MUINTIR DAY – (family day) Reminder that our school will be celebrating Muintir Canal Way on Thursday the 17th and Friday the 18th of May from 10.30-12.30. It is a day to celebrate older and wiser people in our lives and invite them to visit our school, have a chat and share in our learning. Children are invited to ask a Grandparent, parent, aunt/uncle, a family friend etc. to share in this special morning. We have split this over two days and the schedule is as follows:

Thursday 16th Friday 17th
J.I Simon

S.I Cliona

1st Wilma

2nd Alex

3rd Jennifer

5th/6th Ciarán

J.I Jenny

S.I Orla

1st Chris

We will welcome the visitors to our school at 10.30. They will then go to the child’s classroom for a chat followed by a joint assembly. Tea and coffee will be served after this until finish at 12.30. If it is a case that your child has sibling and their visitor can only come one of the days we can facilitate that the child would join in on their sibling’s day.
