ETHOS –Holi is a Hindu festival celebrated on March 13th. This spring festival is also known as the festival of colours.
SEACHTAIN NA GAEILGE – Seachtain na Gaeilge is upon us, and we will be doing lots of Gaeilge based activities, and having fun in the week ahead. Children are learning Irish Dancing at the moment and singing songs ‘as Gaeilge’.
PLEASE dress up in green on Thursday 16th. We will be having a Lá Glas (a day of green!)
STUDENT CONFERENCING Lots of you will have enjoyed student conferencing this week. Thankyou to the children for facilitating the meetings and thanks to the teachers who have also been working hard compiling all their work. Please check out gallery to view photos.
GALLERY – check out the gallery, for mini-beast hunts, art lessons, pop groups, etc. Lots to see.
RECIPE BOOK We are creating a recipe book to help raise money for Canal Way Educate Together School. A template was sent home in the schoolbags this week. Please complete and send back in by 16th March. Alternatively, a copy of the template should also have been e-mailed to you by your class representative. This can completed and e-mailed to [email protected]. If you have no copy of the template, you can request one from above e-mail address.
DO YOU HAVE ANY FUND RAISING IDEAS Have you got an idea for a event to help raise money for Canal Way Educate Together School? We are looking for an event to run during April. If you have an idea and are willing to take lead in organising the event, please e-mail us at [email protected] (Note that the Recipe Book will be on sale in March and the annual sponsored walk will take place later in the year – so those two ideas are gone!!)
PARENT AND TODDLER MORNING The Parent & Toddler Morning takes place every Friday from 8:30am to 10am in the Community Room in the school. All are welcome.
