Newsletter 01-10-2015
Welcome to this week newsletter :
ETHOS – Our core value in October is Honesty.
WHOLE SCHOOL EVALUATION: We were notified last week by the Department of Education, that our school is having a Whole School Evaluation of our management, leadership and learning on the 12th of October. We will be in touch with a questionnaire shortly. This evaluation is a great opportunity for the school to reflect on achievements to date, and it will guide us into the coming years.
VOLUNTEERS: We need to move a room full of furniture from upstairs to downstairs and we also have two notice boards, and lots of other holes to be drilled. I would really appreciate if I could have some volunteers and a drill, into the school on Saturday around 11 am for two maybe three hours. Please email [email protected]
MEETING IN THE SCHOOL OCT 6TH 8PM – A NIGHT OF DEMOCRACY.
– Parents Association AGM will be held on this night. We hope as many as possible can attend, as the new committee will be voted in at the AGM. We need representatives from each class. There will also be a report on activities for the last year. We hope to see you there.
– Parents Election to the Board of Management – We will be electing two parent representatives to our Board of Management on this night also. This role is a four year term of office, and involves attending regular meetings. We will be seeking one male and one female. Think of the needs of our school, and the diverse skillset we require in future years. If you want to nominate yourself for the Board of Management, please email our chairperson Niamh, [email protected] before Monday evening.
AFTERSCHOOLS We are still looking for parents to volunteer as Supervisors next week, Monday – Thursday, for the time classes are on – email us at [email protected]
