Welcome to this week’s newsletter,
 
ETHOS: We have been enjoying our new initiative ‘Thinking Time’.  The older classes have been exploring ‘art interpretation’ and Junior Infants have been thinking about their personal identity. We have been reading The Important Book & Emily’s Art.

ACTIVE SCHOOLS WEEK – Starts this Monday. Timetable is as follows:

SCHOOL TOURPine Forest Art Centre.

          Please be at the school at 08.30 sharp. Bring enough lunch for two breaks.

          All classes will return at 14.10hrs.

          Please wear old clothes suitable for hill walking and messy work.

          Wellington boots, a change of socks and trousers would be desirable if the weather is wet.

          Please do not bring toys or expensive items.

          Cost €22 – thank-you to all who have paid so far.

          Thank you also to all those who volunteered to come on the trip – but the bus is now full!

TIMETABLE: PE will be on Mondays and Wednesdays for the rest of the year.

MOVING PREMISES: Thank-you to all who are offering to help in the move to Basin Street. We shall be in touch regarding volunteers and rotas for this. There are minor works being done to the building – toilets, painting, IT etc. We are planning to be in over the summer and look forward to showing you around some day in August – all going well!

HEALTHY EATING: Our healthy eating initiative is still being well received by the children. Thanks for your support.
