SCHOOL NEWS

Well-Being Week, Friendship Week have all taken place and were a mighty success. We are starting to work on our annual anti-bullying week, and will continue to do so until next Friday.

STUDENT CONFERENCING: will be held on the last week in February and the first week in March. This is a student led initiative, where your child will invite you into their class for a 15 – 20minute conference meeting, and you can enjoy looking at their work and their learning with them. We have been doing this since 2013 and it is a lovely event that you are sure to enjoy. Your teacher will be in touch with you with your appointment time.

SCHOOL CLOSURES

The school will be closed for Mid-term break for one week from 17th – 21st February.

Half Day February 28th – finish at 12.00 noon (Staff Curricular Training)

ENROLMENTS

Junior Infant places have been offered out to all siblings in the school. We are currently on our third round of offers from the waiting list. Please direct any queries to Eavan in the office.

In line with new legislation, as of the 1st February 2020, we are no longer taking pre-enrolments or holding waiting lists for future Junior Infant intakes. Existing lists will remain in place. A new enrolment policy is being drafted for approval by the board of management and we will be consulting with the staff and parent body on this over the coming weeks. We will continue to operate a sibling policy. Here is a summary article from the IRISH TIMES
